Description

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Athens, from 1862, holds the seat of the archbishop, and is of great historical and architectural significance. Furthermore, the small 12th-century Church of Agios Eleftherios, located next to the cathedral, is a cruciform-style marble edifice, constructed out of bits and pieces of earlier Christian monuments and ancient temples.
