Description

The summit of Lykavittos, also known as the ‘Hill of Wolves’ dating back to ancient times, is 277m high and offers stunning views of the city and Attic basin, when nefos (pollution haze) is not obstructing the panorama. At night, the beacon-like little Chapel of Agios Georgios is floodlit atop the summit. Visitors can reach the summit by walking up the path from the top of Loukianou in Kolonaki, or they can take the 10-minute funicular railway from the top of Ploutarhou.
