Description

The ground floor of this remarkable exhibition hall is home to the renowned minimalist marble Cycladic figurines, which date back to the period between 3000 BC and 2000 BC. These figurines, whose simple and pure structure inspired important 20th-century artists such as Picasso and Modigliani, are surprisingly small, except for one that is almost life-size. The remainder of the museum showcases Greek and Cypriot art from 2000 BC to the 4th century AD.
