Description

This museum, with its collection of swords, ship figureheads, and portraits of moustachioed generals, is perfect for those who possess knowledge of modern Greek history and the many 19th century battles that crafted the nation. It features the battle of Messolongi, where Lord Byron fought, and houses the camp bed on which he died of malaria, among other effects - though these artifacts are often out on loan.
