While the National Gallery undergoes reconstruction, some of its artwork is on display at the National Sculpture Gallery, located in the old royal stables of Goudi. Although the gallery is a bit far from the city center, it provides a pleasant departure from the usual classical works. The modern sculpture exhibit housed in one of the refurbished buildings starts in the early 19th century, showcasing marble carvings of figurative art.
