Visiting the city market area during Roman rule is a must-see experience. The current site boundaries encompass a much larger area than before, and many interesting features can be observed from outside the fence. However, it is highly advised to go in for a closer look at the Gate of Athena Archegetis, the propylaeum (entrance gate), the Ottoman mosque, and the stunning Tower of the Winds located on the east side.
