Description

The Temple of Hephaistos, dedicated to the god of the forge, is located on the western side of the Ancient Agora. One of the first structures that was erected during Pericles' rebuilding program, it has survived in excellent condition and remains one of the most well-preserved Doric temples in Greece. Its location is surrounded by metalwork shops and foundries.
